How Some Of Our Clients Are Making A Difference!
Ever wondered how some of our clients enjoy giving back? Or what charities they love to support? Here is a few ways some of our clients are leaving a positive impact on this world, and setting a positive example for those that look up to them! We had a few of our clients each answer three questions! Check out their responses below!
What is your favorite charity and why?
That is a hard question because there are several charities I currently enjoy working with. The few I work with are Love That Dog Hollywood because they rescue and help animals from the shelters, The Shoe Crew because they collect shoes for the less fortunate and Boo2Bullying and Free2Luv because they both work to stop bullying. I also enjoy feeding the homeless at the LA Mission when I can.
I’d have to say my favorite charity is Big Sunday because all of the causes they support make a positive impact on the community. Big Sunday gives kids and families a safe place to enjoy holidays and supports them by donating food to those in need. They’re also great at making volunteering an enjoyable experience for everyone. They have music, games for the kids, and the volunteering itself inspires people to work well with each other. Everyone is always in a good mood and knowing that all of the hard work is going towards good causes makes it even better.
Military, because I believe they've given to us and we should give that to them.
My favorite charity is the Los Angeles Mission. I've volunteered for the Easter event, serving a full meal to the homeless of Skid Row. It was an incredibly rewarding experience seeing the look of joy and gratitude on everyone's faces. I also love how hands on we are with the work, interacting directly with those in need. I look forward to doing a lot more work with the Los Angeles Mission in the future!
Oh how I wish I could chose just one charity! I support so many, but the ones I hold close to my heart are anti-bullying charities, women’s charities, and ones that deal with disabilities. A few of my favorites to support are: “The Jonathan Foundation”, “Tourette Association of America”, ScolasTIC Tourette’s Support”, “Say No Bullying” and the “Good Shepard Battered Women and Children Shelter”. I support anti-bullying charities because I was bullied, Tourette Syndrome and charities that advocate for people with disabilities because I overcame the disability Tourette Syndrome and Women’s charities because my family has always volunteered and been heavily involved with them.
How does giving back to others impact your life? Hunter Payton:
Giving back to others makes me feel good because I am so fortunate to have what I have so if I am able to help others then I want to. So many people are struggling in this world and if I can help just one person or animal then that makes me feel like this world is one step closer to becoming better.
It makes me realize how fortunate I am to have what I do in life and to not take it for granted. Giving back is good for the person receiving the help, but it’s also good for the person helping because it makes them feel better about the world. Knowing that you can make a positive difference in someone’s life is a wonderful feeling.
Helping others helps me appreciate what I have in my life.
I believe giving back to others impacts my life immensely. It grounds me and makes me incredibly grateful for everything I have. It also connects me to an amazing community of kind and caring people.
Words cannot describe the impact that giving back has had on my life. My true passion is helping others. If I can even just help one person, that is all that matters.
Is there a specific act of kindness toward others that you enjoy participating in the most?
My favorite act of kindness is when I am able to save items to donate to the animals. Every year I save the paper towel and toilet paper rolls to donate to the local zoo for the animals to help with their cognitive learning. I also collect and save blankets and towels for the local animal shelter especially as it gets closer to winter when they need it the most.
One of my favorite acts of kindness is reading to children in hospitals. I like to see the happy looks on their faces as I tell them a story. It’s a simple thing to do but I can tell that it causes them joy and allows them to forget about their situation at the moment, which is something I think is really important for kids. They like to have fun and all it takes is someone to be willing to have fun with them to make their day.
Helping to send things to our military. I believe that they are fighting for our country and we should all take the time to give back to them
One of the most prominent issues in lower income and homeless families right now is not getting enough food. Food is necessary for life, and I believe nobody should have to live life with an empty stomach. Whether it be volunteering for the food bank or simply giving my leftovers to someone on the street, I love helping those in need fuel themselves for a better life.
In all honesty I could never limit myself to one specific act of kindness as being my favorite. I try to impact others in a positive way and help as many people as possible. If there is an elderly person who needs me to hold the door open I will.. If there is a homeless person who is hungry, I will give them a granola bar.
